Foreman Workshop Store

Short Summary:
The main purpose of this position is to manage all functions and personnel operating in the engineering workshop store.

• Responsible for the review and stock adjustment of all stock in workshop store
• The effective stock control and cycle counts of all stock and tools at all times
• The daily monitoring of stock and tools in-store – identify shortages
• Making sure that all goods received are checked and marked in the correct manner, and matches all supporting documentation. Notifying departments of special orders
• Following up with suppliers about goods incorrectly delivered
• Ensure quality service in serving clients (artisans) at the service counter
• Comply with the requirements of occupational health and safety legislation in the workshop store
• Management of processing all documentation in the store, including GRN’s, ensuring that all documentation sent to the creditors department is correct and complete as per defined procedure
• Responsible for housekeeping and maintain high levels of food-safe working environment
• Management of stock takes, compiling stock and movement reports
• Reporting to Engineering Manager on stock variances, supplier service levels, redline spares, stock adjustment requests
• Manage workshop store personnel

Key Competencies:
• Tertiary Technical Qualification
• Planning, Procurement and Warehouse management qualification

• Min 3-5 years of store experience
• Solid understanding of store principals and inventory management
• Working knowledge of SAP/equivalent is essential
• Microsoft Office and Store-management system
